Regular Season Round 19: Arras - Toulouse 57-56

Important game to mention about took place in Arras. Thirteenth ranked Arras (5-14) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 11th ranked Toulouse (6-13) 57-56 on Friday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Toulouse won third quarter 17-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for American guard Sugar Rodgers (180-89, college: Georgetown) who led her team to a victory scoring 19 points and 7 rebounds. Mali center Naignouma Coulibaly (191-89) helped adding 8 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Kristen Mann (186-83, college: UCSB, agency: Josep and Nicolas) responded with 16 points and 6 rebounds and Canadian power forward Miranda Ayim (191-88, college: Pepperdine) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Toulouse's coach Jerome Fournier rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Arras moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Mondeville. Toulouse at the other side dropped to the tenth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Angers. Arras will play against higher ranked Charleville-Mezieres (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Toulouse will play against Basket Landes (#4) having rather not much hope for a victory.
