Ninth-ranked Stal Ostrow (10-12) was very close to win a game against first ranked SIDEn Torun (19-3) on Saturday. SIDEn Torun managed to secure only one-point victory 69-68. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts trailed by 10 points after three quarters before their 23-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Tomasz Wojdyla (200-77) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). The former international point guard Lukasz Zytko (185-81) contributed with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. point guard Tomasz Ochonko (184-86, agency: Promotex) replied with 23 points and power forward Tomasz Andrzejewski (204-79) added 7 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Stal Ostrow. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. SIDEn Torun maintains first position with 19-3 record. Stal Ostrow at the other side keeps the ninth place with 12 games lost. SIDEn Torun are looking forward to face Znicz Basket (#11) in Pruszkow in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
