Regular Season Round 9: Byblos - Amchit 80-87

Division A round 9 most important game was a victory of Amchit over 4th placed Byblos 87-80 on Saturday night. The guests trailed by 13 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 7 points. Amchit made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. It was a good game for American-FYR Macedonian forward Jeremiah Massey (202-82, college: Kansas St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds. French Ali Traore (208-85, college: S.Idaho JC, agency: Beo Basket) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American guard Jasmon Youngblood (195-84, college: Kent St.) answered with 40 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds and Canadian center Michael Fraser (203-84, college: Oklah.Baptist, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) added 10 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks in the effort for Byblos. Amchit have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Sagesse. Byblos at the other side keep the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Moutahed. Amchit will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Byblos will play at home against Hoops Club (#10) and are hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
