Rather expected game in Madrid where 5th ranked Segle XXI (10-6) was defeated by third ranked CREF Hola (12-4) 69-65 on Saturday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Chelsey Lee (188-89, college: Rutgers) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import forward Morgan Stroman (185-91, college: Miami, FL, agency: Merit Management Group) who added 11 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side guard Angela Salvadores (178-97) responded with 20 points and 8 rebounds and forward Ana Calvo (183-96) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Segle XXI's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. CREF Hola have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted CREF Hola maintains third position in Group B with 12-4 record having just two points less than leader Ensino. Loser Segle XXI keeps the fifth place with six games lost. CREF Hola will face league's second-placed Gernika on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Segle XXI will play against ASEFA Estudiantes and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
