Soleuvre led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Soleuvre forced 21 Heffingen turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Eric Wise (198-90, college: USC) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import guard Mychal Green (193-83, college: Ohio, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) helped adding 15 points, 8 rebounds, 9 assists and 7 steals. Four Soleuvre players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Sudanese power forward Teeng Akol (211-88, college: W.Kentucky) with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and guard Ted Schleimer (194-92) scored 15 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Soleuvre will face Grengewald (#4) in Niederanven in the next round. Heffingen will play on the road against Black Star in Mersch and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
