Regular Season Round 26: Niigata - Toyota B SR 67-65 OT

Niigata (9-17) outlasted Toyota B SR (9-17) in overtime by two points 67-65 on Saturday night. Toyota B SR trailed by 12 points at halftime and as many as 15 after three quarters before a 21-6 last quarter charge cut the deficit to tie the game 60-60 at the end of regular time. But then they lost overtime period 5-7. Swingman Sangi Kanade (169-86) scored 21 points to lead the charge for the winners and forward Nana Kondo (177-88) chipped in 8 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Power forward Sari Osabe (174-87) responded with 13 points and 8 rebounds and guard Yoshie Watanabe (162-86) scored 10 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals. Four Toyota B SR players scored in double figures. Niigata moved-up to seventh place, which they share with defeated Toyota B SR. Toyota B SR lost fourth consecutive game. Niigata will face again Toyota B SR (#7) in Aichi in the next round.
