An interesting game took place in Bahia Blanca where higher ranked Quimsa (10-14) was upset on the court of fourteenth ranked Wuber-Est.Bahia (9-15) 82-77 on Sunday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 25-21. But Quimsa won second period 17-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Wuber-Est.Bahia won last quarter 25-22. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Lisandro Rasio (198-90) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 7 rebounds and guard Lucio Redivo (179-94) who added 19 points during the contest. Four Wuber-Est.Bahia players scored in double figures. Wuber-Est.Bahia's coach Sebastian Ginobili used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American Xavier Silas (196-88, college: N.Illinois) with 24 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized Italian center Damian Tintorelli (204-81) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Wuber-Est.Bahia maintains fourteenth position with 9-15 record. Loser Quimsa dropped to the eleventh place with 14 games lost. Wuber-Est.Bahia will face higher ranked GECR Indalo (#7) in Comodoro R. in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
