Rather expected game when 7th ranked Hapoel Holon (10-10) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Hapoel Eilat (12-9) 78-70 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 21-7 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Hapoel Eilat dominated on the defensive end, holding Hapoel Holon to just 7 points in third quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American forward Yancy Gates (206-89, college: Cincinnati) stepped up and scored 23 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import swingman Kevin Palmer (198-87, college: Texas A&M-CC) chipped in 7 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
