Regular Season Round 22: Tromso - Baerum Basket 78-85

The most important game in the last round took place in Tromso between third ranked Tromso (11-6) and fourth ranked Baerum Basket (11-7) on Sunday night. Tromso was defeated by Baerum Basket in a tough game at home 78-85. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. American forward Lukas Roesch (197-90, college: Nova SE) scored 26 points and 6 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Stian Mjos (183-89) chipped in 24 points and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side American power forward Mike St.John (203-84, college: La Salle, agency: Global Sports Plaza) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import guard Gary Wallace (187-88, college: Robert Morris) scored 28 points (made all of his seven free throws). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tromso's coach Kenneth Webb rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion maintains fourth position with 11-7 record. Tromso at the other side keeps the third place with six games lost. Baerum Basket are looking forward to face league's leader Gimle BBK in Bergen in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Tromso will have a break next round.
