Very predictable result when fourth ranked Shiga L-Stars (21-17) edged on the road 9th ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (10-26) 85-82 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 13 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 3 points. The game was dominated by American players. Forward Marshall Brown (199-85, college: Missouri) scored 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks to lead the charge for the winners and guard Brandon Fields (193-88, college: Nevada) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Five Shiga L-Stars players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was swingman Ricky Woods (194-84, college: SE Louisiana) with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and center Anthony Stover (208-90, college: UCLA) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 18 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field).
