Regular Season Round 24: C.de Latte BRE - FCM Ferentino 75-90

There was a small surprise in Brescia where eleventh ranked FCM Ferentino (12-12) defeated 9th ranked C.de Latte BRE (12-12) 90-75 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by FCM Ferentino. C.de Latte BRE was better in second period 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. FCM Ferentino dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to C.de Latte BRE's 40. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Rodney Green (196-88, college: La Salle) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and the former international power forward Luca Garri (207-82) who added 23 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Tamar Slay (204-80, college: Marshall) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import swingman J.R. Giddens (196-85, college: N.Mexico) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. C.de Latte BRE's coach Alberto Martelossi rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. FCM Ferentino moved-up to ninth place, which they share with defeated C.de Latte BRE. FCM Ferentino will face higher ranked Lighthouse TR (#7) in Trapani in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
