Regular Season Round 9: Al Riyadi - Champville 88-72

Division A top team - Al Riyadi (8-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat sixth ranked Champville (3-6) in Beirut 88-72. The game without a history. Al Riyadi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Al Riyadi forced 19 Champville turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Egyptian power forward Ahmad Ismail (205-76) stepped up and scored 15 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and the former international guard Amir Saoud (187-91) chipped in 20 points. Four Al Riyadi players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Serbian power forward Vladan Vukosavljevic (206-84, agency: Beo Basket) with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds and Georgian point guard Georgi Tsintsadze (192-86) scored 17 points and 7 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Al Riyadi have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 8-1 record. Champville at the other side keeps the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with Tadamon.
