The game in Beirut was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Al Moutahed (6-3) played at the court of 8th ranked Homenetm. B (2-7). Al Moutahed defeated Homenetm. B 76-65 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Al Moutahed. Homenetm. B managed to win third quarter 16-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Homenetm. B 41-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. Jamaican-American guard Corey Williams (191-77, college: Alabama St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 14 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists for the winning side and international forward Bassel Bawji (203-89, college: Tulsa) accounted for 18 points and 10 rebounds. Four Al Moutahed players scored in double figures. American center Terrence Leather (204-81, college: S.Florida) came up with 25 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import point guard Dion Dixon (190-89, college: Cincinnati) added 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Homenetm. B in the defeat. Al Moutahed moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Byblos. Newly promoted Homenetm. B keeps the eighth position with seven games lost. They share it with Bejjeh. Al Moutahed will meet Bejjeh (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Homenetm. B's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Beirut Al Riyadi.
