An interesting game took place in Pistoia where higher ranked Trenkwalder RE (10-11) was upset on the court of eleventh ranked Tuscany Pistoia (9-12) 74-66 on Sunday. Trenkwalder RE trailed by 16 points after 3 quarters before a 22-14 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 66-74 at the end of the game. Tuscany Pistoia dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Trenkwalder RE's 32 and made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was power forward JaJuan Johnson (208-89, college: Purdue) who scored 27 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard James White (201-84, college: Cincinnati, agency: Three Eye Sports) who recorded 25 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Troy Bell (186-80, college: Boston Coll.) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Trenkwalder RE's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Tuscany Pistoia moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Umana VE. Trenkwalder RE at the other side keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with JuveCaserta and Sidigas AV. Tuscany Pistoia will meet bottom-ranked VL Pesaro (#16) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Trenkwalder RE will play against the league's leader Armani Milano (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
