Regular Season Round 21: JuveCaserta - Sidigas AV 76-57

There was a minor upset in Caserta where 7th ranked Air Avellino (10-11) was crushed by ninth ranked Juvecaserta (10-11) 76-57. The game was mostly controlled by Juvecaserta. Air Avellino was better in third quarter 23-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for American forward Jeff Brooks (203-89, college: Penn St.) who led his team to a victory with 25 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eleven shots !!!). Guard Michele Vitali (196-91) contributed with 11 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American-Georgian Will Thomas (203-86, agency: Two Points) answered with 17 points and 8 rebounds and international point guard Daniele Cavaliero (188-84) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Air Avellino. Five Juvecaserta and four Air Avellino players scored in double figures. Juvecaserta moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Grissin Bon RE and Sidigas AV. Juvecaserta's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Enel Brindisi on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
