Regular Season Round 21: Sutor MGR - Montepaschi 50-78

15th ranked Sutor Montegranaro (6-15) was outscored at home by fourth ranked Montepaschi Siena (14-7) with the biggest margin this round 78-50. It looked good early as Sutor Montegranaro took an 4-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Montepaschi Siena had a 23-11 second period charge getting the lead and Sutor Montegranaro was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 50-78. Montepaschi Siena dominated on the defensive end, holding Sutor Montegranaro to just 5 points in third quarter. The victory was the third consecutive win for Montepaschi Siena. Defending champion maintains fourth place with 14-7 record. Sutor Montegranaro at the other side keeps the fifteenth position with 15 games lost. Montepaschi Siena's next round opponent will be higher ranked Cantu (#3) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sutor Montegranaro will play against Cimberio Varese (#12) and hope to win that game.
