The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Torino (4-1) on the court of fourth ranked Triestina on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by Triestina 62-59. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Torino. The hosts trailed by 11 points after three quarters before their 30-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Guard Stefania Trimboli (178-96) orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points and 7 rebounds. Hungarian forward Anna Vida (185-85, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 8 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Triestina's coach Nevio Giuliani used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Triestina is looking forward to face league's second-placed San Giovanni in Sesto San Giovanni in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
