No shocking result in a game in Caracas where eighth ranked Gaiteros (5-7) defeated bottom-ranked Panteras (1-13) 82-74. Panteras were ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 47-37 second half run of Gaiteros. Dominican swingman Victor Liz (188-88) notched 30 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and center Peter Kvietek (205-77) supported him with 21 points and 11 rebounds.
