Very important is a road loss of second ranked Hamamatsu Phoenix (24-14) against fifth ranked Fukuoka Rizing (20-20) on Friday night. Visiting Hamamatsu Phoenix was defeated by Fukuoka Rizing in Fukuoka 92-78. The game was mostly controlled by Fukuoka Rizing. Hamamatsu Phoenix was better in fourth quarter 28-27. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fukuoka Rizing dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Hamamatsu Phoenix's 28. Swingman Seth Tarver (196-88, college: Oregon St.) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Fukuoka Rizing's coach Jamie Duncan allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Jermaine Dixon (191-87, college: Pittsburgh) answered with 16 points and 7 assists and forward Dior Lowhorn (201-87, college: USF) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Hamamatsu Phoenix. Four Fukuoka Rizing and five Hamamatsu Phoenix players scored in double figures. Fukuoka Rizing have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 20-20 record. Hamamatsu Phoenix at the other side dropped to the third position with 14 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
