There was a minor upset when 6th ranked Kumamoto V. (5-34) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Chiba Jets (11-29) 74-65. The guests were already 22 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 23-10 Kumamoto V.'s run in the last quarter cut the lead to 74-65 at the end of the game. Chiba Jets dominated on the defensive end, holding Kumamoto V. to just 6 points in second quarter. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a good game for forward Alan Wiggins (206-85, college: USF) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. Newly promoted Chiba Jets maintains sixth position with 11-29 record which they share with defeated Kumamoto V. Kumamoto V. lost thirteenth consecutive game.
