Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked Sokol Lancut (14-9) beat at home 10th ranked Astoria Bydg. (7-16) 78-63. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Sokol Lancut's pressure prevailed and they won that period 19-11 extending their advantage to 15 points. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Michal Baran (185-80) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 5 assists. Guard Lukasz Pacocha (185-82, agency: Promotex) accounted for 17 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Four Sokol Lancut players scored in double figures. Marcin Kowalewski (200-86) came up with 14 points and guard Piotr Robak (192-91) added 9 points and 5 assists respectively for Astoria Bydg. in the defeat. Astoria Bydg.'s coach Jaroslaw Zawadka rotated eleven players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sokol Lancut moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Astoria Bydg. at the other side keeps the tenth position with 16 games lost. Sokol Lancut will play against higher ranked Kutno (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
