Regular Season Round 25: Monaco - Pontoise 74-60

Leader Monaco delivered the twentieth second victory. This time they beat 15th ranked Pontoise (8-17) 74-60. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Pontoise. The game was mostly controlled by Monaco. Pontoise was better in second period 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Nigerian Derrick Obasohan (199-81, college: Texas Arlington, agency: Beo Basket) who helped to win the game recording 19 points. Serbian forward Milutin Aleksic (203-82) contributed with 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Forward Croucgnan Mendy (196-88) answered with 14 points and 7 rebounds and Mourad El-Khir (202-88) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Pontoise. Pontoise's coach Ludovic Pouillart rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Monaco (22-2) have an impressive series of twenty two victories in a row. They maintain first place. Newly promoted Pontoise keeps the fifteenth position with 17 games lost. Monaco will play against Cognac BB (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Pontoise will play against JSA Bordeaux and hopes to get back on the winning track.
