Regular Season Round 23: MOSiR Krosno - Start Lublin 101-85

There was no surprise when 6th ranked Start Lublin (14-9) was defeated on the road by second ranked MOSiR Krosno (18-5) 101-85. The game was mostly controlled by MOSiR Krosno. Start Lublin was better in fourth quarter 25-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. MOSiR Krosno players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Marcin Salamonik (202-83) who led the winners and scored 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Guard Dariusz Oczkowicz (181-81) accounted for 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. point guard Kamil Michalski (182-87, agency: Promotex) came up with 19 points and 9 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and Patryk Pelka (202-89) added 11 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Start Lublin in the defeat. Four MOSiR Krosno and five Start Lublin players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MOSiR Krosno have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 18-5 record having just two points less than leader SIDEn Torun. Start Lublin at the other side dropped to the fifth position with nine games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. MOSiR Krosno will play against Astoria Bydg. (#10) in Bydgoszcz in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Start Lublin will play at home against WKK Wroclaw (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
