Regular Season Round 22: Nancy - Pau-Lacq-Orthez 77-65

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 11th ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez's (11-11) road loss to tenth ranked Sluc Nancy (13-9) 65-77 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Sluc Nancy. Pau-Lacq-Orthez was better in third quarter 22-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Forward Randal Falker (201-85, college: S.Illinois) contributed with 14 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Sluc Nancy players scored in double figures. Guard D.J. Strawberry (196-85, college: Maryland) replied with 23 points and forward Ahmad Nivins (206-87, college: St.Joseph's) added 15 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) in the effort for Pau-Lacq-Orthez. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sluc Nancy moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Newly promoted Pau-Lacq-Orthez keeps the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Sluc Nancy will face bottom-ranked Chorale de Roanne (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Pau-Lacq-Orthez will play against Entente Orleans 45 (#5) and hope to win that game.
