Regular Season Round 21: Prat - Palma 75-78

The most shocking disappointment of round 21 was only three-point a home defeat of 3rd placed Prat (11-8) to fourth ranked Palma (12-7) 78-75. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The guests trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 27-17 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Center Antoni Vicens (203-90) stepped up and scored 19 points for the winners and American point guard John DiBartolomeo (183-91, college: Rochester, agency: Duran International) chipped in 13 points and 5 assists. DiBartolomeo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Palma players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Victor Serrano (211-89) with 14 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Alberto Abalde (200-95) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Palma moved-up to second place, which they share with Guadalajara. Prat at the other side dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost. They share it with Avila and Castello. Palma is looking forward to face Fontedoso Carrefour (#6) in Avila in the next round. Prat will play at home against CB Guadalajara and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
