The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Athens: Panathinaikos (#3) and Athinaikos (#5). Panathinaikos (13-5) smashed visiting Athinaikos (8-11) by 19 points 70-51. The game was mostly controlled by Panathinaikos. Athinaikos managed to win second period 17-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Athinaikos to just 5 points in first quarter. Panathinaikos dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Athinaikos' 28. Panathinaikos forced 24 Athinaikos turnovers. Athinaikos' coach Giorgos Zevgolis rotated eighteen players seeing no chance for a win. Defending champion maintains third position with 13-5 record having six points less than leader AE Ellinikou. Athinaikos at the other side dropped to the sixth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Aris.
