Regular Season Round 19: Dunkerque - Charnay 64-72

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 12th ranked Dunkerque (7-12) was defeated at home by thirteenth ranked Charnay (6-12) 72-64. Dunkerque was ahead by 2 points after three quarters before a 26-16 charge of Charnay, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Dunkerque's 28. Charnay forced 19 Dunkerque turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a very good performance for guard Julie Legoupil (173-84) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 7 assists and 6 steals. Slovakian center Dasa Rajecka (189-87) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Charnay players scored in double figures. American guard Taelor Karr (173-90, college: Gonzaga, agency: LBM Management) answered with 29 points and 8 rebounds and Dace Pierre-joseph added 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Dunkerque. Newly promoted Charnay maintains thirteenth place with 6-12 record. Dunkerque at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Charnay's next round opponent will be higher ranked LTB 29 (#4) in Pleyber-Christ and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
