There was a small surprise in Shizuoka where sixth ranked Mitsubishi K. (18-10) outscored 4th placed Chanson V-M (20-8) 72-48 on Saturday. The game without a history. Mitsubishi K. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Mitsubishi K. had a 32-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. International center Enjin Wantsu (189-87) stepped up and scored 27 points and 5 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winners and swingman Aya Watanabe (170-92) chipped in 14 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international forward Kana Motoyama (180-90) responded with 17 points and 7 rebounds and guard Makoto Rin (168-88) scored 9 points. Chanson V-M's coach Isao Kimura gave up on the game allowing to play thirteen players seeing no chance for a win. Mitsubishi K. maintains sixth place with 18-10 record. Chanson V-M lost their third game in a row. They keep the fourth position with eight games lost. Mitsubishi K. will have a break next round. Chanson V-M will play again on the road against Mitsubishi K. (#6) in Nagoya and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
