Regular Season Round 25: Blois - Lourdes 83-79

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when thirteenth ranked ADA Blois (11-14) defeated at home 12th ranked Lourdes-Tarbes (10-14) 83-79 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Lourdes-Tarbes won third quarter 22-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. ADA Blois looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Benjamin Monclar (193-88) fired 22 points for the winners. Swingman Florian Thibedore (193-90) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Steven Ricard (197-90) produced 17 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized Serbian forward Nikola Stojiljkovic (206-91, college: N.Texas) added 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Four ADA Blois and five Lourdes-Tarbes players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. ADA Blois moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Chartres. Newly promoted Lourdes-Tarbes dropped to the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. ADA Blois will face Montbrison (#17) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Lourdes-Tarbes will play against Rueil (#10) and hope to win that game.
