Denso Iris (#2) forced the game against JX Sunflowers (#1) into an overtime, but lost by one point 68-69. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Denso Iris. Denso Iris were ahead by 2 points after three quarters before a 15-13 charge of JX Sunflowers, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 11-10. JX Sunflowers outrebounded Denso Iris 46-31 including a 36-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international forward Yuka Mamiya (185-90) saved the victory by scoring 31 points and 6 rebounds. The former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (191-91) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. Guard Minami Iju (168-90) answered with 25 points and the former international power forward Maki Takada (183-89) added 13 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Denso Iris. JX Sunflowers (26-2) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place. Denso Iris at the other side keep the second position with five games lost.
