There was no surprise in Quaregnon where 10th ranked Kangoeroes (4-19) were defeated by third ranked Belfius Mons-Hainaut (16-6) 91-79. The game was mostly controlled by Belfius Mons-Hainaut. Kangoeroes was better in fourth quarter 33-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Kangoeroes to just 6 points in third quarter. Belfius Mons-Hainaut made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Kangoeroes turnovers. The game was also dominated by American players. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Jason Love (206-87, college: Xavier) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). point guard Talor Battle (182-88, college: Penn St.) accounted for 11 points and 8 assists for the winning side. Five Belfius Mons-Hainaut players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Belfius Mons-Hainaut moved-up to second place, which they share with Liege. Kangoeroes lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 19 games lost. Belfius Mons-Hainaut's next round opponent will be Okapi Aalstar (#5) on the road.
