An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Nagoya. Third ranked Mitsubishi Dolphins faced 3rd placed Hokkaido L.. Host Mitsubishi Dolphins (21-20) defeated guests from Saporro (25-16) 71-60. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Hokkaido L.. The hosts were ahead by 18 points but lost the second period ending it with a 1-point deficit before their 24-12 run, which allowed them to win the game. Mitsubishi Dolphins forced 19 Hokkaido L. turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Bahamas power forward Magnum Rolle (211-86, college: Louisiana Tech) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 7 rebounds. Senegalese-French forward Amath M'Baye (206-89, college: Oklahoma) contributed with 11 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: KMG Sports Management) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import power forward Jameel Watkins (211-77, college: Georgetown) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Hokkaido L.Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mitsubishi Dolphins maintains third place with 21-20 record having twelve points less than leader Aishin SH which they share with defeated Hokkaido L. Hokkaido L. at the other side keeps the third position with 16 games lost. Mitsubishi Dolphins will play against Hitachi Sunrockers (#5) in Tokyo in the next round.
