Top ranked Aishin Sea Horses (32-9) recorded its ninth loss in Kariya on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Tochigi Brex (24-16) 69-62. Aishin Sea Horses were trailing by 6 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 22-14 charge of Tochigi Brex, which allowed them to win the game. American power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Yuta Tabuse (173-80, college: BYU-Hawaii) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals. American power forward Gavin Edwards (206-88, college: Connecticut) produced 20 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and international swingman Kosuke Kanamaru (193-89) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Aishin Sea Horses' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Tochigi Brex maintains fourth place with 24-16 record. Aishin Sea Horses at the other side still keep top position with nine games lost. Tochigi Brex are looking forward to face league's second-placed Wakayama T. at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
