Leader Armani Milano delivered the seventeenth victory on Sunday night. This time they beat 7th ranked Trenkwalder RE (10-12) 82-78 in Reggio Emilia. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Trenkwalder RE won third quarter 25-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Armani Milano made 18-of-18 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. American Keith Langford (193-83, college: Kansas) scored 19 points to lead the charge for the winners and Jamaican power forward Samardo Samuels (206-89, college: Louisville) chipped in 14 points during the contest. At the losing side international point guard Andrea Cinciarini (193-86) responded with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard James White (201-84, college: Cincinnati, agency: Three Eye Sports) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Five Armani Milano and four Trenkwalder RE players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Armani Milano (17-5) have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position. Trenkwalder RE at the other side keeps the seventh place with 12 games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Armani Milano will meet at home Lottomatica Roma (#5) in the next round. Trenkwalder RE will play against Granarolo BO in Bologna and hope to secure a win.
