Regular Season Round 25: Weert - M.Magixx 60-79

Very expected game when 10th ranked Weert (3-24) was crushed at home by sixth ranked M.Magixx (16-11) 79-60. The game was mostly controlled by M.Magixx. Weert was better in third quarter 28-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when M.Magixx won last quarter 28-10. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Patrick Richard (196-90, college: McNeese St., agency: KMG Sports Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. His fellow American import forward Kelvin Martin (195-89, college: Charleston So.) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. M.Magixx's coach Michael Schuurs allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The former international center Kenneth van Kempen (207-87, college: Ohio, agency: Court Side) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists and the former international guard Jeremy Ormskerk (190-82, agency: Court Side) added 14 points and 5 assists in the effort for Weert. M.Magixx moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Leiden. Weert at the other side stay dead last with 24 lost games. M.Magixx's next round opponent will be Leeuwarden (#7) on the road. Weert will play against the league's leader Groningen and hope to win that game.
