Seventh-ranked Snaefell (9-12) gave a tough game to fourth ranked Njardvik (13-8). Njardvik managed to secure only two-point victory 83-81. However their fans expected easier game. Snaefell cut a 17-point halftime deficit to two at the end of the game. American forward Tracy Smith (203-89, college: N.Carolina St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and the former international Logi Gunnarsson (190-81) accounted for 21 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Njardvik players scored in double figures. American point guard Travis Cohn (187-89, college: Jacksonville) came up with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and international forward Jon Olafur Jonsson (199-81) added 18 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Snaefell in the defeat. Snaefell's coach Ingi Thor Steinthorsson rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Njardvik maintains fourth place with 13-8 record. Snaefell at the other side dropped to the eighth position with 12 games lost. Njardvik will play against Stjarnan (#7) on the road in the next round. Snaefell will play against the league's second-placed Keflavik and hopes to get back on the winning track.
