Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Takamatsu FA (16-23) defeated on the road 10th ranked Shimane Magic (7-32) 74-66 on Saturday. Shimane Magic was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 6-point lead after three quarters before a 24-10 charge of Takamatsu FA, which allowed them to win the game. Americans were the main players on the court. Power forward Paul Williams (208-83, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: I.D.S. Law) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds for the winners and swingman Dexter Lyons (198-81, college: Cent.Florida, agency: I.D.S. Law) chipped in 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Takamatsu FA's coach Kenzo Maeda used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was power forward LaShawn Malloy (209-84, college: New Orleans) with 8 points and 16 rebounds and forward T.J. Cummings (205-81, college: UCLA) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Five Takamatsu FA and four Shimane Magic players scored in double figures. Takamatsu FA moved-up to seventh place. Shimane Magic lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 32 games lost. Takamatsu FA will have a break next round. Shimane Magic will play again at home against Takamatsu FA (#7) and hope to win that game.
