Regular Season Round 38: Toshiba BT - Tsukuba R. 99-81

An interesting game for Toshiba Thunders (35-6) which hosted in Kanagawa 4th ranked Tsukuba R. (7-35). First ranked Toshiba Thunders had an easy win 99-81. The game was mostly controlled by Toshiba Thunders. Tsukuba R. managed to win fourth quarter 23-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Toshiba Thunders especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. American players dominated the game. Forward Nick Fazekas (211-85, college: Nevada) notched a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Cedric Bozeman (198-83, college: UCLA) supported him with 13 points and 4 assists. Four Toshiba Thunders players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 24 points and 12 rebounds by power forward Lamar Sanders (198-84, college: Lamar) did not help to save the game for Tsukuba R.. Power forward Justin Reynolds (206-88, college: Texas A&M-CC) added 25 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Toshiba Thunders maintains first position with 35-6 record. Tsukuba R. lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourth place with 35 games lost. Toshiba Thunders will again meet at home Tsukuba R. (#4) in the next round. Tsukuba R. will have a break next round.
