Second Stage Round 9: Sanda - Trelleborg 80-86

Date: March 15, 2014
Not a big story in a game in Huskvarna where 9th ranked Sanda Basket (1-10) was defeated by third ranked Trelleborg (7-5) 86-80 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Sanda Basket won third quarter 23-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was naturalized Bosnian forward Srdjan Vukovic (197-86) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds. Guard Anis Ben Hamida (195-90) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Four Trelleborg players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Alexander Russom (191-95) who recorded 18 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Jordan Peltier (188-95) added 14 points and 6 assists respectively. Sanda Basket's coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Trelleborg moved-up to second place. Sanda Basket lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with ten games lost. Trelleborg will have a break next round. Sanda Basket will play on the road against the league's leader Talje Knights (#1) and hope to win that game.
