The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Solna Branten as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Solna Branten smashed 8th ranked BG Lulea at home 94-64. The game was mostly controlled by Solna Branten. BG Lulea managed to win fourth quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Solna Branten dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to BG Lulea's 42. Solna Branten forced 21 BG Lulea turnovers.
