No shocking result in a game when third ranked Villeneuve D'Ascq (18-3) defeated at home 13th ranked Arras (5-16) 73-61 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Villeneuve D'Ascq. Arras managed to win third quarter 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Belgian center Emma Meesseman (192-93, agency: LBM Management) stepped up and scored 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and the former international Johanne Gomis (179-85) chipped in 15 points and 5 steals.
