Second Stage Round 7: Victoria - RGUOR 71-84

An interesting game for RGUOR (1-2) which played road game in Grodno against 4th placed Victoria (0-9). Third ranked RGUOR managed to get a 13-point victory 84-71. The game was mostly controlled by RGUOR. Victoria managed to win third quarter 36-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. RGUOR dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Victoria's 42. RGUOR forced 23 Victoria turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was an exceptional evening for center Hanna Brych (183-97) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 14 rebounds. point guard Anastasiya Sushchyk (160-97) accounted for 18 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals for the winning side. Vialetta Kivlyak came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds and forward Hanna Tsarevich (178-95) added 18 points and 4 assists respectively for Victoria in the defeat. Five Victoria players scored in double figures. Victoria's coach Valentina Navoichyk rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted RGUOR maintains third place with 1-2 record having sixteen points less than leader BrGU. It was Victoria's ninth loss in a row. They still close the standings with nine games lost. RGUOR will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Victoria will play again against RGUOR (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
