Regular Season Round 21: Lucca - Priolo 78-55

Fourth ranked Lucca (13-6) crushed at home 10th ranked Priolo (3-16) by 23 points 78-55, which is the biggest margin this round. The game was mostly controlled by Lucca. Priolo was better in fourth quarter 14-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Priolo's 18. They outrebounded Priolo 41-22 including a 29-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Lucca players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Priolo's players. Lucca's coach Mirco Diamanti felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. point guard Ilaria Milazzo (167-94) answered with 16 points and 5 rebounds and the former international forward Simona Ballardini (181-81) added 19 points in the effort for Priolo. Lucca moved-up to third place. Priolo lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with 16 games lost. Lucca's next round opponent will be Parma (#5) on the road. Priolo will play against the league's second-placed Ragusa (#2) and hope to win that game.
