Second Stage Round 9: Taby - BG Lulea 84-90

There was an upset when leader Taby Basket (6-3) was defeated at home by eighth ranked BG Lulea (2-6) 90-84 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 37-24 charge, which allowed them to win the game. BG Lulea made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was guard Joel Svensson (184-94) who scored 19 points and 6 assists. Forward Andreas Von Uthmann (197-96) chipped in 20 points and 4 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Fredrik Rasmusson (200-91) who recorded 28 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and center Calle Lindberg (202-92) added 15 points respectively. Five BG Lulea and four Taby Basket players scored in double figures. BG Lulea moved-up to seventh place. Loser Taby Basket dropped to the second position with three games lost. BG Lulea will face higher ranked Akropol (#5) in Stockholm in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Taby Basket will play at home against KFUM Uppsala and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
