Regular Season Round 25: Casalpusterlengo - Treviglio 68-74

There was a minor upset when 5th ranked Casalpusterlengo (14-11) was defeated at home by eighth ranked Treviglio (14-11) 74-68 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 16-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Treviglio made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Casalpusterlengo was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Filippo Alessandri (190-89) stepped up and scored 19 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winners and guard Tommaso Marino (192-86) chipped in 16 points. Four Treviglio players scored in double figures. At the losing side Cuban Howard Sant-Roos (200-91) responded with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Giampaolo Ricci (200-91) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Treviglio moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Casalpusterlengo and P.Mantovana. Treviglio will face Reggio Calabr. (#10) in Reggio Calabria in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Casalpusterlengo will play on the road against Ravenna (#11) and hope to win that game.
