No shocking result in a game in Stockholm where fourth ranked Alvik Basket (5-4) smashed 7th ranked Polisen (3-8) 99-72 on Sunday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Alvik Basket forced 23 Polisen turnovers. Polisen was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was forward Richard Hartmann (203-89) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds. Naturalized Greek guard Christian Koutras (189-88, college: Cuesta JC) chipped in 21 points and 9 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Andreas Cahilig (193-91) who recorded 20 points and 7 rebounds and guard Emil Gullbrandsson (189-92) added 21 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Alvik Basket maintains fourth place with 5-4 record, which they share with 4 other teams. Polisen lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
