Regular Season Round 39: Chiba Jets - Aishin SH 55-71

There was no surprise when 6th ranked Chiba Jets (12-31) were defeated at home by first ranked Aishin Sea Horses (34-9) 71-55 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Aishin Sea Horses. Chiba Jets was better in second period 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Aishin Sea Horses especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.5 percentage. It was a great evening for international swingman Kosuke Kanamaru (193-89) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points. The former international point guard Shinsuke Kashiwagi (183-81) helped adding 11 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American forward Alan Wiggins (206-85, college: USF) with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import forward Chris Braswell (206-89, college: Charlotte) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Aishin Sea Horses maintains first place with 34-9 record. Newly promoted Chiba Jets keep the sixth position with 31 games lost. Aishin Sea Horses will face league's leader Toshiba Thunders in Kanagawa in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Chiba Jets will play on the road against Hyogo S. (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
