Regular Season Round 22: Kings - 36ers 100-90

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Adelaide 36ers (17-10) against fifth ranked Kings (12-14) on Sunday night. Visiting Adelaide 36ers were defeated by Kings in Sydney 100-90. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Adelaide 36ers. It looked good early as Adelaide 36ers took an 12-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Kings took control winning two of next three quarters and eventually winning the game that evening by 10 points. They made 22-of-24 charity shots (91.7 percent) during the game. Kings players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Jesse Sanders (190-89, college: Liberty) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. International swingman Ben Madgen (193-85, college: Augusta St.) contributed with 31 points for the winners. Four Kings players scored in double figures. International power forward Daniel Johnson (212-88, college: Pepperdine) replied with 23 points and 6 rebounds and American point guard Gary Ervin (183-83, college: Arkansas) added 20 points in the effort for Adelaide 36ers. Kings moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Hawks. Adelaide 36ers at the other side keep the second position with ten games lost. Kings will play against Wollongong Hawks (#4) in Gwynneville in the next round. Adelaide 36ers will play at home against Melbourne Tigers and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
