There was no surprise in Jaworzno where 13th ranked MCKiS Jaworz. (4-20) was defeated by fourth ranked MKS DG (16-8) 88-72 on Sunday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. MKS DG looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Michal Woloszyn (201-84) who scored 23 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Przemyslaw Szymanski (198-84, agency: Promotex) chipped in 18 points, 7 assists and 5 steals (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Damian Janiak (195-89) who recorded a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and point guard Michael Gospodarek (186-91) added 16 points respectively. Four MCKiS Jaworz. players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MKS DG have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 16-8 record. MCKiS Jaworz. lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the bottom. MKS DG will face WKK Wroclaw (#5) at home in the next round. MCKiS Jaworz. will play against Stal Ostrow (#9) in Ostrow Wlkp. and hope to win that game.
