Regular Season Round 32: Chanson V-M - Denso Iris 52-47

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Denso Iris (24-7) against fourth ranked Chanson V-M (22-9) on Sunday night. Visiting Denso Iris were defeated by Chanson V-M in a tough game in Shizuoka 47-52. Chanson V-M made 27-of-32 charity shots (84.4 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three nailing 19 long-distance shots on high 55.9 percentage. Chanson V-M brought some defensive toughness making 201 blocks. Denso Iris were plagued by 52 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by the former international swingman Saori Fujiyoshi (178-87) who scored that evening 11 points and 9 rebounds and forward Sanae Motokawa (175-92) supported her with 10 points and 5 rebounds. Chanson V-M's coach Isao Kimura allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds by the former international power forward Maki Takada (183-89) did not help to save the game for Denso Iris. The former international forward Yuri Ushida (181-89) added 8 points and 10 rebounds for the guests. Chanson V-M maintains fourth position with 22-9 record, which they share with Fujitsu RW. Denso Iris at the other side keep the third place with seven games lost. Chanson V-M will play against league's second-placed Toyota A. in Nagoya in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Denso Iris will play at home against Ebara Vickies and hope to get back on the winning track.
